Linocut prints require some skill and precision to cut. The linoleum block is cut in mirror image, requiring the creator to think backwards. This particular type-print is commonly referred to as a “suicide print” because after each color is printed, the material is removed from the block and can not be re-printed if a subsequent layer prints poorly.
